baby chicks and year old hens

The local farm store has day old chicks. Woud my year old hens kill them if I put them in the same pen/coop?

Yup.

We tried to get our banty cochin to accept our new chicks and she attacked them.

You can't mix the younger chickens w/ the older ones until they're nearly the same size. Even at that point you're going to experience fights while the pecking order is re-established.
