Baby Chicks Feet???

Is it normal for a newly hatched (less than 24 hours) chick's feet to not lay flat all of the time? Also, one of my newly hatched chicks down is missing and/or appears to be stuck to them, not fluffly. Is that normal?

Thanks, this is my very first time hatching chicks and I am doing it with my students in our classroom.

Not sure about the foot thing. They were cramped in the egg for awhile so it may take some time for the chick to get used to having space to stretch out and work their limbs. The down comes out wet and then the chicks have a crusty wet look then once they are moving around the down will fluff up. Here is a pic from one of my hatches.
