Hi all, we've got some baby chicks currently in a tote in our basement set at 90F. We've built a brooder for them in our unheated shop outside. Set up with a heat lamp that was steady at 90F. When i tried to transfer them to the brooder i checked after an hour or so and some of the chicks were panting / shivering...is this a sign that it is too drafty? Some were to the edges of the lamp, some right under. I ended up moving them back into our tote set up, but its really not great for accommodation to them. They are just a week old now, with wing feathhers coming in and starting to get tail feathers.
