Can someone tell me how long I should wait to assume the 6 eggs are not going to hatch. I have a hen that's been brooding on 6 eggs now for approx. 24 days. I have an active rooster who is all the time
riding the hens.... so I'm assuming some were fertilized. I'm new at this. I didn't candle the eggs. How long should I wait? What do I do with them?

Mine always hatch right on time at 21 days under a broody. You said its been 24 days approximately? Since your unsure on the accurate time I would give them couple more days. Really nothing to lose just leaving them alone little longer. [IMG] You could candle, if they are clear then toss them.

If they end up not hatching I would put them in a plastic bag and put in the outside trash.
