Hello! I am née to raising quail and just picked up four babies over the weekend. I placed them in the brooder and checked everyone over after they had time to settle. One of the babies is walking on the joint instead of it’s foot and I can’t tell if it’s injured or a birth defect. It’s eating and drinking and scooting around just fine. I put down paper towels so that it’s leg would get scratched on the bedding. Any advice on what I can do for it? I’m trying to find a vet in my town that looks at quail but so far no luck.

This foot looks like it has been injured.
Can you place the quail down and get a picture of how it's standing?
