[IMG]I just received this duckling from a friend. He said the other two died by getting stuck in wide gaged chicken wire(I use super small). I dont know if it's a girl or a boy i dont know what kind of duck he/she is or the age.
I was so excited I didn't ask. Also what snacks can I give he/she? I have never had ducks before, only chickens.

Looks like a Muscovy to me, feed chick starter. Much to young to sex.

Now examining the feathers I can tell he/she is not very old , BUT he looks quite big so although you recognise this as a duck , he is in fact a GOOSE! I would probably guess an Egyptian goose with the colour of its down!

It does not have a gooses bill it has a flat duck bill, and I agree with the other aswer of it being a Muscovie or Muscovie cross baby. To soon to tell sex. Be sure and keep all the chick starter it can eat out all the time but also has to have all the water it can drink (Will be VERY messy!!!!) so will need to get it off the paper towel as soon as possible because they will eat the wet paper towel.. I have the best luck with pine shaving and change them every day or ervery other day....Paper towels also becoe wet and slippery and they will dislocate theyre leg joints very easy!!
