I have a baby duck whose hatch day was yesterday. I make a safety hole because I didn’t want to take the chance of it dying . He has been doing good but he hasn’t been able to break any shell off . It has been like this for more than 24hours . What do I do?? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If you made the safety hole over 24 hours ago, then I would carefully open the shell over the air cell. Then, moisten the internal membrane with coconut oil if you have it, or neosporin or bacitracin if you don't, and you should be able to see if he has finished absorbing, and then we can go from there.

So I did the air sac and saw that the yoke was absorbed opened it up to to more and saw that he was mapositioned so I opened it to where he can get out and now he is doing good can’t wait till here is finally out.
