Baby ducks for my birthday! Thank you Wendy for a wonderful birthday!

My muscovy duck Wendy hatched out her baby ducks today! We saw 6 so far, she only had 9 eggs so I think thats great! Its hot here and she is not into letting us really see them, so I guess we will wait till tomorrow to see how many she has! Baby muscovys are awesome! Its our first clutch to be hatched by mama duck, and on my birthday none the less! YAY DUCKIES, Happy birthday to me!

thank you! Looks like she has 7! I think I am going to have to try to catch her and them to pen them up though as she was in the pasture at the top of the hill this morning, I don't want to take the chance of loosing her or them, and there are all kinds of preditors up there, opossum, raccoon, chicken hawks and coyotes just to name a few. She won't let me near her right now, I hearded her and the babies back into the garage/chicken coop this morning, but im not sure they will stay there. I will try to get some pictures later!
