Baby Mallard

The egg finally hatched!!! I Know it is a full bred mallard duckling because I have only have a pair of mallards but the duckling is all brown or black. Any info is apreciated.

my first year with the mallard i think they pair up at a time of the year to breed my mallards have already done that and my mallards are 9 months old now and i havent seen them breeding but i have seen the males try and i have no eggs yet
