Baby quail are pipping!!

    First time I tried out my cabinet incubator. I filled it about half full of bobwhite quail eggs and they are pippin and zippin. Anyone know how much brooder space I need for about 400 quail chicks??

    WHHOLLY COW, That's a lot of quails? I don't know on that one, but congrads on your hatching..

    I have tried to count them but I guess I will have to get a few boxes and count them out 100 in a box. I am hatching these for another person. He is giving me 30 cents for every chick I hatch for him. He said I can keep what I want and charge him for the rest.

    This is the first for me with Bobwhites. They sure are cute little buggers [​IMG]

    The eggs are his. So I am just hatching them as the incubator is new to me and wanted to try it out and paying for the electric and a bottle of Crown Royal to celebrate [​IMG]

    They almost look like a swarm of honey bees. They are fast little buggers. Open the door on the incubator and it almost looked like a popcorn popper
