I NEED MAJOORR HELP. The Little babies are coming soon, and I dont know how to grind up their food! Blenders and such are expensive around here, so mark that off suggestions. I've tried beating it up (lol) but it won't work well. Any suggestions? I need them fast. THANKS!!!!!!

Two flat garden stepping stones like the one foot square bricks. Pour the feed on one and place the other on top rotate the top one back and forth to grind just like a mill. Put a large plastic bag under it all for easy clean up.

What I do is I have an old 'magic bullet' blender thing that I run the food (gamebirds starters) through a few passes to get it to a finer grain. I have seen people use a regular blender for this but you should wash it very carefully when you are done because no one wants quail food in their smoothies!

Thanks! Worked out! They came this morning, and are eating and drinking fine... But I have a problem I had to do twice today before i took out their water bowl.... So I just came to check on them, and they were ALL COMPLETELY SOAKED. They looked like newborns. I was so worried, I didn't know what to do, but then I used my warm blow dryer to dry them up, and it worked! But then, it happened again.... And I didn't want them to get wet again, so I took out their water, and every now and then I put it back in for a few minutes, and then I take it out. Help?!

How deep is the bowl? I always fill it up with marbles so there are barely any places they can fall into. Also they can drown if it's too deep they can submerge themselves into!

You can get blenders for a few dollars at a thrift store. 50 babies eating ground up food for at least two weeks is going to be a lot of grinding.

I would also try googling for answers to your questions rather than risk just waiting for someone to have an answer on the forums.

Some of your questions are time sensitive and can be easily answered by searching online - I hope your quail are doing okay.
