BABY Roo!!! Hahahah

    Just had to post this to the 'is my chicken a rooster' section. [​IMG] I hatched out four Jersey Giants YESTERDAY and one of the four was easily 25% bigger and had a big comb already! Right out of the egg!!! And it's definitely 'the boss' and walks over the other babies.. Roo alert!! [​IMG]

    The big comb looked massive when he was still wet but quite obvious here. [​IMG]

    Yeah, I've known Jersey Giants to do that. . . Not mine though. However, my Marans cockerels tend to have enormous combs by 1 week of age.

    I once saw someone hatch out a JG that already had wattles. [​IMG]

    the other three in the hatch had microscopic combs and the chicks were much smaller. that one popped out and I went WHOA.. he's huge!!

    I opened this thread a on "What are they asking?" thought. [​IMG] Now I know. [​IMG] I agree with you on your instincts with this little guy. Keep us posted on his development. Now inquiring minds want to know for sure. Oh and he is really a cute stud muffin.
