Baby Roo Pics - 5 weeks old today

Thought I would post pictures to show the development of a 5 week old baby Roo. He has had a red comb and wattles for a long time now. I like watching him develop.

This was at about 3-4 weeks. Always the most attentive as to what Mother is doing.

What variety of roo is he?

I believe he is a mix of a Silver Lace Wyandotte and maybe Australorpe mix. I got the egg from a farm with lots of roos and hens so that is a guess. I love him!

How do you definately know that he is a he at 5 weeks old? I am just interested to know as my chickens are 5 weeks also

Just by the extremely red comb and wattles at such a young age. I have raised hens and never saw a comb like that so I am guessing it is a Roo.
