We went to a poultry show this weekend and Loren did a showmanship class with his old Serama rooster, Baby Sarge. There was 4 kids in his class and all were older then him. One of them was much older, I think around 13. Well, Loren took first place and champion in the class. He had the most knowledge of chickens and his rooster was the best behaved. Baby Sarge was soooo good!! It might have been due to the fact Loren shared a hash brown from McDonalds with him just before the class.

As for the other birds in the show, one got best variety, and another, a Welsummer rooster got champion as well as best condition and best trio. There are more winnings he got but I can’t remember them right now. I had 2 pullets shown with him. I am unsure of all the things they won as of yet, but it is a lot. I have a list of people wanting hatchable eggs from me now out of my winning birds. [IMG]

The judging was not done when we left to come home for a break, so I don’t know how the rest of the birds we took did yet, but I will find out later. I will let you know how they did.

    And the other birds:
    Champion Welsummer, Wellington

Best Variety Barred Rock Bantam, Marty

    My Pre show birds
One of my champion hens per show after grooming

The Jaerhons had not been judged yet when we left, so I don't know how they did. I will let you know though!

I have more pictures but will post them later. I have to get ready for Banquet!![IMG]
