Who's attending the Badger Poultry Club's last show on June 4th in Richland Center?

I'm planning on going, and will be bringing bantam brahmas, moderns, seramas, a sumatra large fowl, a light goose and possibly a call duck or two.

Entries close May 13, if you want to go and are needing an entry form, I can email you one. [IMG]

Quote:Vickie! Hi! So glad to hear from you. [IMG] I hope you all are doing great in the land of sun and warmth. This has been a miserable winter up here in the great white north. I remember that show too, it was my first FL win, and admittedly, I was no more surprised than anyone else to get it for both shows. That bird Kong has put some nice ones on the ground for me, I won Res CH FL with one of his sons (a cockerel) this last show I entered, CH FL went to a black cochin.

Here's an interesting tidbit about the north. Silkies up here are NOT as popular as they are down there apparently. The last show I attended didn't have a single silkie entered, it was only cochins and other brahmas for the most part. I wonder why that is?

Gosh I miss you guys! Say hello to everyone from me please. How did the Inverness show go this last time?

High Roost Ranch, we are going to Richland center and was wondering what you had for the buff brahma bantams? Do you have any chicks/eggs for sale? Also, we could use a new quality white call male. Our males are good body, but there necks are a little long. Would you have anything to bring along? If so, what prices. Thanks so much.

    Hi,

I'm planning on going to the show on June 4th, but know nothing about it. I did read that it would be at their Fairgrounds. Could someone send me the hours and directions?

Thanks, I'm a newbie to Chickens, but would like to learn as much as possible.

Quote:Here's the address to the fairgrounds location. If you're going to map it out, use GOOGLE maps and not Mapquest. Mapquest plots it incorrectly.

    Richland County Fairgrounds
    23630 County Highway Aa,
    Richland Center, WI 53581

The show starts at either 8 or 9 am, I don't have my show catalog in front of me and I always arrive early so don't really pay much attention to the time it starts. If you're looking to buy birds, it's best to arrive early (8 am or so) so you can get first pick if you see something you want in the sale cages. The show should run until about 3 pm or so, depending on the number of entries there are. It's a Saturday only show. Admission should be free. Don't be afraid to approach people and ask about their birds, most love to crow about their feathered friends. [IMG]

Quote:Best thing to do is to attend the show, and find the exhibitor that has the birds entered you're interested in. White rocks are common at shows, much less common are buffs and partridge from my experience. If they don't have chicks or eggs available, they'll likely be able to tell you who does.
