We actually had 5 chicks hatch out of 78.
2 of them died almost immediately.The other 3 were so coated with dried gunk that I didn't think would come off. I had to peel the membrane off of them and use warm water to get their wings unglued from their eyes and their feet. But at a week old these little guys are starting to look like chicks!
The rest of this bunch were hatched a couple days ago from the HovaBator
Now THIS is going to be one interesting chicken!
It's pretty obvious that her (?) daddy is the Silkie roo I posted in the Ugly Chicken thread. This is one of the baked ones.
She (?) is developing regular buff/grey feathers on the wings, but her chest and shoulders are white silkie fur!
