I have 6 hens and one rooster. 3 of the hens have bald spots on their back that seem to get somewhat better then reappear/get worse. The other 3 hens and rooster have nothing wrong with them. Any ideas on what is causing this and how to stop it?

Some of mine have the same problem...

yours is Probably an overmating issue. Those must be his favorite hens. I have 5 hens and 1 roo, and I’m having the same problem. I just ordered some hen saddles since I don’t have a way to easily separated them right now.

Looks like your rooster is favoring half your girls and wearing off the feathers. Not much you can do but remove the rooster temporarily or permanently. There's also hen saddles, but they require some maintenance.
