Can anyone help ! I've kept five chickens for nearly two years now after malting only one has regained all its feathers and is back to normal ! Why have I still got bald chickens ?
They still lay everyday . This is my favourite she's called red I love her to bits she's so affectionate likes a cuddle and follows me round the garden with my Jack Russell . But why is she still [IMG]

Are they sex links? I've never seen this . My sex links molted but all over , no patches ...

Also is it really molting if they're laying eggs ? Mine still layed , but much less

Hi and welcome to BYC. I agree with redsoxs that the ER forum is the best place to go for advice.

    Good luck

I guess there are no chicken dermatologists - her skin is so reddened, I would think allergy (to something) or skin disease. I would keep her covered up like that so she doesn't get sunburned on top of it. Wish I could be of help [IMG]

G’Day from down under Sandra134 [IMG] Welcome!

I agree that the ER Forum is your best bet .. that does not looking like moulting to me.

Best wishes to you and your gal.

I hope you enjoy being a BYC member. There are lots of friendly and very helpful folks here so not only is it overflowing with useful information it is also a great place to make friends and have some fun.

If you would like to share pictures and stories of your flock, you have come to the right place. BYC’ers never tire of these and do not back away slowly or commence eye rolling when the photo album or home videos come out [IMG]
