    Hi all,

I just got my new chickens a few months ago and this is my first time owning chickens. My mother in law has had them forever and I just loved watching them in her yard so much that when my husband and I got our house, I just had to have some of my own!!! I started out with 3 chickens (one bantam red and 2 bantam ameraucana's. The red turned out to be a rooster, I didn't want to but after talking with my husband we found it a new home. He was a beautiful bird!!! Now out of my 2 ameraucana's I think one is a rooster too!!! Out of 3 chickens, 2 roosters oh boy. My husband and I agreed regardless if one of my ameraucana's is a rooster or not we are keeping him!! Maybe in the spring we can have babies and hatch more hens :)

If anyone has knowledge or information on Bantam Ameraucana's I would appreciate the feedback. Especially in regards to introducing new birds to a flock as I really would like another hen.

    Thanks All,

Hi and welcome to BYC from northern Michigan [IMG]

You certainly could hatch more hens. And probably more roosters too.
