I go into lockdown on my first hatch today. Out of 23 shipped eggs I am down to only 8 that are developing. I am told that is an Ok hatch rate for shipped eggs. But I am hoping to try again soon and would like to pick up my eggs this time, hoping for a better hatch rate and to bring in breeds I don't have. I would be most interested in columbian cochins or bantam buff brahmas. Does anyone out there know where I can find fertile hatching eggs in Southern Ca? I am in Kern County near Edwards AFB. Thank you so much.

I live in San Diego. My Cochins are not laying right now, but this spring through fall I will have tons of eggs and chicks. I have Mottled which are crossed with Mille Fleur Cochins (I am working on developing Mille Fleur) and should have some interesting colors next year. pm me for more info
