Blue mottled roo is spring 09 hatch, full feathered feet & middle toe. Only one point on his comb is shortened. Very nice shape, I've kept him for breeding several weeks but don't have room for all roos. Pullet is summer 09 hatch, not yet laying. She has good shape too, heavily feathered feet & middle toe.

Oooh, Shylee, those are nice. I may have to talk my way into getting some additions for my flock, haha.
Good luck! With any luck, I might just be back!

Mottie, I couldn't resist your latest batch of eggs..believe me I understand....come on... the chickens are talking to youuuuu....
The black pullet is from Windchyme in CA and the roo came from Maplewind Poultry in Ohio.

I see! How did the last batch turn out, by the way? Recently I've begun to AI my birds and have had incredible results. I have 26 eggs in the bator out of an original 30, sooo, if you win this one, you had better darn well get good results or I am going to strangle my birds [IMG]

But, back to the original post [IMG]
I'm thinking maybeee a christmas gift if I can weedle my way to it, they're both awesome birds. What's the undercolor like on that roo? I'm having some problems with the blues coming out with a white undercolor and maybe he can fix it, hehe.

Here is a pic of his undercoloring, a light blue:
