I just picked up these little ones from the livestock auction, and since they all seem to be lacking some feathers, I can't tell if they are roosters or hens. I think they are all roosters... but my big rooster has been dancing over to a couple of them like he does to the ladies...
THeres 6 of them, two black, two splash? and a white and a buff.

I do not know the age of them, but I think they are all roosters...

Yes they all look like roosters. Personally just for pets I like the roos cause they seem to have so much personality.

Great that you rescued them at auction. Here they would have been "souper chickens" ( make great soup.)

85% of the chickens that go through there are for meat. I got the cochins for $3 each, some barred rock roosters were selling for $18 and up!
Generally rhode islands sell for 8-10 each and BIG roosters 10-15.. little roosters $5ish...
I dont know if people would eat the cochins.. since they have furry feet and all. and they're bantams.
I may have to try to rehome them once they are feathered though because I have a blind rooster and if they try to attack him, then they're gone.
