My Sebright hen is like that. :) she is very..bossy. She's definitely a girl, and will puff her hackles up to any rooster, even my large fowl barred rock hehe
Sebrights are characters :D

Time for an update and I was out enjoying my coffee with them so I thought I would take some photos. So they are 16 weeks old now and their temperament is starting to mellow out nicely. I have just put the squash in the oven so my little flock got the seeds. I tried this a few weeks ago and they couldn't get enough of them I bring it out today and they must have known cause they ran out and started eating out of the container before I got a chance to take some out, too much fun, anyways here are the better shots. Lets get one last batch of guesses because the next step is to wait for eggs.

Love your Sebright's feathering!

They both look like pullets. But could you get a picture of the silkie's comb?

I would be more inclined to say roo on the Sebright and I really have no idea on the Silkie yet but overall I would guess pullet. Is the crest swept back like that or have you done it to show the comb? Roos are more likely to have that swept back crest.
