So I have to hens and a rooster golden duckwings but they are smaller than other standards that I have but bigger than other bantams that my friend has. Is there a sizing for telling if it is a bantam or not?

Do you know what breed the chicken is? Some breeds are smaller than others. There is not set sizing for bantams or not. If you can send some photos maybe I can better help.

I believe they are not bantams. Some chickens are just smaller than others.

Also some white egg laying breeds have a more slender build then others.

If your friend has smaller bantams then they probably have one of the true bantam breeds.

Barbus, Pyncheons, others that I can’t think off the top of my head.
