I want to try my hand at incubating some eggs and a co-worker has some chickens (Australorps I think) and a bantam rooster. He doesn't think the eggs are fertile because the rooster is so much smaller than the hens but I thought it might be fun to give it a try. This will be my very first attempt to hatch chicken eggs, so free eggs to try it out on sounds good. Do you think there is a chance that they could be fertile? If I successfully hatch some babies will they most likely be bantams, normal size, or somewhere in between? Thanks for any in put!
