So as the title states, I need pros & cons of owning a Silkie cockerel who will later become a full grown rooster.
I'm only asking those that have owned or currently own Silkie roosters.

Our 6 week old Lavender Bantam Silkie cockerel named Spiky Mikey is going to become our flock's rooster once he's big enough to join the flock. He's currently inside with 2 Partridge Bantam Silkie pullets who are the same age as him as we got them from the same farm. We're currently treating all 3 with Corid so they can't go outside yet.
In our flock outside, we have 3 BLR Wyandottes, 2 Black Sex Links, 2 Red Sex Links, 1 White Polish, 1 Bantam Silkie/Cochin mix, 2 Bantam Cochins.
Outside in our chick coop, we have 2 Buff Orpingtons(8 wks old), 2 Olive Eggers(8 wks old), 1 Blue Wyandotte(15 wks old).
Huge thanks in advance!
