Bantams—Good garden help?

Hello All— Thinking of starting a new spring flock of bantams that will help with kitchen garden clean up. I am looking at silkies, Cochins and perhaps d’Uccles. Experiences? Advice? Resources?

Bantams are awesome chickens but feather legged are not as good at scratching in the mud. But saying that I have 4 bantam Cochins (pekins) and they are able to scratch just as well as any other chicken. Pekins can have a very calm nature like silkies as well. I have never had silkies or d’Uccles so I can only sing the amazing side of the bantam Cochins. The bantams Cochins are also incredibly fluffy.
