After losing many of my birds to hawks over the last year, I have decided to concentrate on large fowl only. All of my Ameraucanas came from a well known member of the breed club. The EE banties are out of the Amer.'s, but they are non standard colors. I have the following:
1 buff Amer roo (nice type, but pale leggs and uneven plumage color, very sweet and tame)
1 wheaton roo (high tail set but very good markings, less tame than the buff roo)
1 silver duckwing hen (sweet and tame, likes to talk to you, pale blue egg)

I also have their EE babies for sale, about 10 wks old:
2 golden duckwing puletts (wh roo X sdw hen)
2 golden duckwing cockrels (wh roo X sdw hen)
3 cockrels (bff roo X sdw hen), black with varing ammounts of buff in the hackle, breast and saddle

And last but not least, my lavender wheaton project birds:
2 black hens (wh roo X lav hens)
1 black roo (wh roo x lav x hens)
These are sold as a trio ONLY.

Because I must get rid of all of them, price is negotiable. However, all birds will be sold as pairs or trios. Any left over roos are FREE to a good home.

    Ewesheep,
I have never shipped birds before, and to be honest I am a little hesitant to do it. Which birds are you interested in? If you are interested in a trio or quad, it would be worth the trouble. Would you trade me for a Wellsummer hen? Do you have pics of your wellies or their eggs?

I am in Simpsonville, but I might meet someone in Louisville or Lexington.

I just wanted to add that these birds have been raised outside on grass in portable fense pens.

    Shelley,
The trio is black, not lavender wheaton. They are out of lavender hens with a wheaton roo. I was working on lavender wheaton, but the hawks keep getting my birds, and I don't want to just sit by and have them all eaten. The birds are black because they are a F1 cross, or first generation cross. If you breed them together, you will get black, wheaton, lavender, and if you are lucky, lavender wheaton. This will probably take several generations.

    Hey,

Missed you at the Christmas club meeting! Can you tell me more about the wheaten roo? I have some wheatens, and might be able to use him.
