Hi, Just found this BYC Forum and signed up.

In July I ordered 25 banty peeps. Ameraucana, Silver Pencil Rock, Partridge Rock, and Rhode Island Red.

The hatchery sent 27. We lost one a couple of weeks ago to a hawk.
We have 26. This coming weekend they will be 12 weeks old. I am 95% certain I have 16 roosters and 10 hens. We are keeping 2 roos and all the hens.
(the 10 hens I am sure of. Several roosters I am sure of. I have my fingers crossed on some but hope is fading)

What the heck am I going to do with 14 roosters. Can't keep them. They are bantys so not worth eating. They are beautiful and they are my buddies but I have to find them homes. I am in PA. Anybody got any advice?

I would suggest editing your profile to let people know where you're located. Welcome to BYC and I know you will find some nice homes for your birds here.

Thanks! I really do like them and I do not want to take them to the farm market!

They eat out of my hands for crying out loud. What have I done.

I would love to help you out but I'm over 3 hours away, it's just a little too far for me to drive with the price of gas. I would have given them a good home, if you were going to sell. Good luck to you, my zip is 15688 if you ever travel west a little, let me know, I'd be willing to take a few...

I wonder if I can talk Hubby into a road trip! When I get home tonight I am going to say something to him to see if he thinks I am nuts.
I REALLY don't want to take them to the farm market.

I'm bumping myself back up here. This morning we seperated the roos from the flock we are keeping. All the roos are now in a seperate pen in the barn.
If anybody in the area would like to come and take a look at the bachelors that would be great.

Here's hoping!
