Barred or Cuckoo?

    I can't tell if my little Jap hens are Barred or Cuckoo. How can you tell or are they the same?

    not sure which way to go with yours barred birds have crisper defined barring and cuckoo birds have splotchier makings.

    They look cuckoo to me.

    L&S, on a good barred bird, there's no comparison between Barred and Cuckoo. Here's a photo of one of my birds:
