Barred rock boy or girl ?

    That's my only barred rock I just have two chicks praying my barred rocks not a roo

    Barred rock males have yellow legs, the females have a dark wash over theirs. If you let it grow out more - males have wider white bars than gray barring. Females have narrow white bars and black barring. I can't make out what color legs are in picture.

    That doesn't always mean much, especially with poor quality stock.

    Rather than a barred rock I'd say this little one is a back sex ink cockerel - which accounts for the "off" barring/darker plumage than expected for a barred rock cockerel
