I have 2 barred rocks that are 3.5 weeks old. I've read other posts on barred rocks, and they seem to each have traits of both..so.. any ideas?

Chick #1 -Lola: she had silverish down when a chick, a diffused head spot and has alot of dark splash on her legs.

Chick #2 - Lolitta: she had dark down when a chick, a pretty well defined head spot and has just a little bit of dark splash on her legs. AND
She also is half the size of her sister, and one leg has 5 toes...? She is such a little spitfire, so adorable.

Thanks

My vote is #1 pullet, # 2 roo. I could be wrong though - hopefully someone more experienced will post and add their input. # 2 looks to be feathering more slowly than the other chick. best wishes

As I am trying to educate myself here, why do you guys think #2 is a roo? Her (oops I mean His) tail feathers are coming in alot slower than his sisters, is that the big clue?

Thanks

One is darker and wider barred.
Two is much lighter and thinner barred.
One has a tail.
Two has little tail.
One has well feathered wing bows
Two is behind in wing feathering.

One is a girl.
Two is a boy.

One will keep nice girl feets.
Two will grow great goober feets and cankles.
One will keep the nice neat comb until she's ready to lay eggs.
Two is gonna have that comb go pink, then grow larger, then grow red.

Then one is gonna lay eggs and two is gonna crow.
