Barred Rock chick?

Hatched this chick from a mystery (light brown, no speckles) egg yesterday. I have no reason to believe that it would be a cross - these eggs were bought from a hatchery, not a backyard flock. I also read that Barred Rocks are sex-linked, so if this is a Barred Rock, is it likely it's a male? I can take more pictures if need be!

I know it can also be impossible to know sometimes with such a small baby, but it would be nice to know anyways...

The current leg color has me thinking cuckoo marans. However leg color as chicks doesn't always reflect their real leg color. If they turn to yellow, it's probably a plymouth rock.
