Barred Rock/ EE mix chick

We have 7 new chicks and I keep taking pictures of this little one. The markings around his eyes are so pretty. His little puffy cheeks are so cute! I just love him/her.

Okay. What do you think he/she will look like? Any idea of sex? I am thinking male based on BR guidelines, but who the heck knows.

Was the daddy the barred rock or the hen?

I have some barred rock/ee as well, my rooster is the barred rock.

It's much harder to tell the sex until they get older if that's the case.

I have one myself. Her name is Panda. I think your baby will look very much like a slightly more slender Barred Rock with a beard.
