I purchased today and was told was a hen and told is approximately 15 weeks old.

I would say pullet even though its color is a bit light for your average BR Pullet.

I'd say hen I don't remember how our Barred rock rooster looked like when he was 15 weeks but he had a really developed cob and waddle.

how about this one, hen or roo? I think roo, but was told it is a hen, I sure hope so.

That's what I'm thinking but the coloring is the same as the one that I believe is a pullet. Is this possible? Here's side by side comparison.

I think they're both mixed breed cockerels. I also think they're much younger than 15 weeks.

The second bird is absolutely male. You can see saddle and hackle feathers coming in.

Since they're not pure, you can't sex by color. And the one being male but not having hardly any comb yet tells me they're younger.

If you bought females, you need to give the seller a chance to make it right for you.

The seller honestly though they were pullets & is going to switch them out. :)
