Barred rock males or females??? Give it your best guess!!

    Top one is a cockerel. The other two are too young to tell.

    That first one is not a Barred Rock. But it is a cockerel.

    The first bird is a cockerel, and a mixed breed. Since it's mixed, it makes me think the other two have a possibility of being mixed also so the normal rules of sexing barred birds aren't accurate.

    I'm getting a cockerel vibe from the second bird, though.

    Yes they are a mixed breed of barred and brahma. Just found this out.

    Then those chicks are male. No question. It's called sexlinking. A barred hen can only pass her barring gene to her male chicks.
