This bird is 17 wk old, purchased from a local breeder. I need to know gender only.
Can you get a nice, full-body, side profile shot so that we can see the entire bird - a natural, standing position is best? How long has the bird been this red in the comb and wattles?
Just showing the comb won't really help. Both males and females can have red combs by 17 weeks old. We need a full body shot that shows the whole bird.
Here I got a couple better shots today. The comb is much wider than her sisters. Can they vary by breed?
Looks like a pullet. The back feathers all look too wide to be male saddle feathers. She has a rose comb, so she's likely Wyandotte mix.
I agree; you have a pullet. )
