Barred Rock rooster or hen

    Is this barred rock a rooster or hen? Maybe 20-23 weeks old, have not heard any crowing.

    Looks like a hen that is laying to me. Are you sure she's not hiding eggs somewhere?

    No eggs yet. They are supervised when out of the coop/run. Based on their age I would expect eggs anytime now.

    That's a rooster, I can see sickle feathers in the tail.
