Does the yellow dot on the back of the head mean they're a male or female? I've forgotten.
I have some recently hatched chicks and some are just mixed with Barred Rock. For instance, I have a polish hen (it was the only white egg in the bator and also the first one to hatch) who's baby could've been polish, blue silkie or barred rock. Well, I'm pretty sure it has the barred rock dad because 1)it doesn't look like it's going to have the head feathers (crest is it? sorry!) 2)it's black and has a yellow butt (did the polish have this--I'm not remembering) Anyway, it has a spot on the back of it's head. With it being a mixed breed, would the sexing rule apply? What a cute baby though!!
