So I've been wanting to start a thread for a while now, and no one ever replies. So anybody wanna start a barred rock thread? They're my favorite breed and I love em to death!! Who else has them? Share your chickens and don't forget about pics!! Tell it all to me! [IMG] Thanks

I have two Barred Rocks that are about 12 weeks, just now getting integrated into the flock of four other ladies (of varying breeds). I'll have to say that these two BRs are the sweetest things, and I'm really impressed with their gentle nature. I took awhile to introduce them to the older girls, who are about a month older. So far so good, and I just love watching the two BRs! They really do have personality, and good looks, too. I don't have good close-up pictures yet, but I'll sure post some later.

    Go BRs! [IMG]

We've added two barred rocks (16weeks) to our year old 5 EE's. The BR's are [IMG] !!! One is very petite and feminine with long knickers while the other one is a bit socially awkward, chubby and jukes anything and everything that moves. We commonly refer to them as tweedle dee and tweedle dum because they do EVERYTHING together. [IMG] [IMG]

They are the most curious and always sneak a peek in our windows from the deck. It's the [IMG] [IMG] thing that keeps us laughing when they're around though.

How funny! I haven't actually named my BR pair yet, but I keep sort of thinking of them as Tweedledee and Tweedledum -- they definitely do everything together!

Here's Ouiser! She likes to hang out in the dog bed. And yes, Button (the EE) and Sparrow (the Americauna) are going into the house.

Ouiser definitely takes after her namesake (Shirley McLaine's character on Steele Magnolias); she can be a bit of a pill and boss everyone around including the two dogs.
