What could my barred rock mix be mixed with? She has a rose comb and lays beautiful shiny darker brown eggs.

She could be a Dominique, or a Dominique mix. Where did you get her from?

She is def. part barred rock because the only roo was a barred rock. My coworker that I got her from has 13 other breeds and didn't know all the types. I hatched her out last summer.

Likely a Wyandotte cross, as big and fluffy as she is.

If the rooster was a barred Rock, my thought is the momma was a silver laced Wyandotte. That's a classic Wyandotte body shape, and the rose comb is dominant.

I had a rooster of basically the same cross, but I didn't keep him long enough for him to really mature and get the nice heavy body, he was still gangly when I had him....
