Barred rock

    This chick is from a black sex link hen and either from a white leghorn too or rhode island red too but looks identical to barred rock anyone agree? Oh and I have 7 of these too. I'm hoping for a good mutt bird. [​IMG]

    Its coloring doesn't look quite like a Barred Rock (the chest is rather white). It is just a pretty mixed breed.[​IMG]

    Oh, and I think that it is a cockerel.

    Thanks. I'm sure out of the seven (some hatched this weekend) I'll have enough hens to add to my already 11 flock. Hope these cockerels are tasty when they get full grown! I smell enchiladas!

    Enchiladas are my favorite way to use up cockerels! Lots of guacamole to go with them....yum!

    Well, no he doesn't look like a BR, but definitely a cute little guy. Would be interesting to see how he develops with that white chest.
