If the legs come out yellow, BRs. If white, could be Cuckoo Marans or badly colored BRs.

Is it weird that one is feathering out slower than the other. Possible roo?

It's possible, but I can't tell from the picture, too much glare. Is that slow feathering one much lighter in color or not? If lighter, like silvery-grayish rather than dark black, it could be a rooster.

A lot more white on the chest... Does that matter?

Black legs. I don't think it is either one. [IMG] Unfortunately, I don't know what they are. [IMG]

Many barred chicks have black on the legs.

Black on the leg fronts is pretty typical of most BR or Dom pullets, but actual black legs, not just yellow with a black wash, is not a trait of either breed.

The bottom of the feet are a peachy pinky color if that helps at all.
