Barrred Rocks and Buff Orpingtons Good mix?

Are they good or ok to keep togather we are getting 3 of each and are raisning them all from 1 day old from the same store.

Provided appropriate space and housing they are no more or less likely to get along than any other group - while BR tend to have a bit of a rep as dominant and BO as submissive, it's going to boil down to the individual birds you get.

That's what we have...3 BO and 2 BR...they get along just fine, other than the normal pecking order stuff!

Thanks this makes me feel a lot better. In the coop they each get 4 and 1/6 square feet. I know about the pecking order. I am thinking it will problobly be a barred rock at the top?

Actually the BO in the bottom center of the pic is #1. 2nd is also a BO. #3 BR, and the the other BR and BO swap the bottom two slots (seems like it's daily!)

Our current coop is a 6x4 custom, but they all share the top 6' roost at night. The current run is 12x4 w/plenty of "outside" time in the afternoons.
