bathroom tragedy for chick

I just told my son yesterday that we needed to keep the toilet lid down I have the chicks in the bathtub and they are two weeks today getting ready to make better accomidations this week but that was the best place to keep them warm and manuevering around the box in the bathroom was a pain. Was gone all day and came home and my son found a chick had drowned in the toilet. He blamed himself and told him that it may have been me so now it is all my fault. At least I turned the heat lamp off while I was gone ( I have a heater in the room). At least it wasn't his chick it was one of my two black andalusians that I hoped I would get.
