Batman's first baby is here! (PIC) -unabsorbed yolk chick.

    Looks like it was unabsorbed yolk afterall, yay! She's perking up, and starting to dry...curling out at tips! Cute as can be. Still lethargic, so just chillin out in the incubator with the eggs. She's half barred rock (hen) and white frizzle bantam (roo).

    She's still pretty punk...lots of stretching, occasionaal peeping, eyes are still closed, and she seems "jittery" where her wings will flutter and she'll kinda scraatch at her head with her feet...not sure if she's having seizure, blood sugar issues, or acting normal. She's bout 9 hours old?

    She's flickering her eyes open now, but still shakes randomly...

    and darnit I dropped my flashlight onto two 2-day-old EE eggs.

    I had a chick this hatch that hatched with some unabsorbed yolk sack too. I had to keep it separated because the other chicks started to peck at the yolk sack and it started bleeding. I got the bleeding to stop pretty quick and it is walking around with it's yolk sack.
