Just got my incubator and egg turner (FINALLY) so I will be adjusting it through the weekends for quail & turkey eggs! This will be my first time ever with turkey eggs, but 1st time in 10 years for quail.

They are both 99-100, right?

Temperature is the same for both

What quail are you incubating?

It may be diferent incubation period

turkeys are 28 days
bobwhites 25 days
coturnix 18 days

What incubator did you get?

Coturnix - and with the difference in days, we will make the adjustment.

I got the Hova 1602N. I had something similar about 10-12 years ago and never had a problem. Couldn't do duck eggs, though, humidity was too hard to keep up. Now I have muscovy and don't have to worry about hatching those eggs.

We have let it run since we got it, so we can adjust the temp and make sure we have it marked. This will be my step-children's first incubation process and I can't even explain how excited they are.

They see the every day things since living here, but this will their first official start-to-finish hatch.
