Good to know I'm not the only one who's noticed there's almost no correlation between tail shape and gender.Alex, agreed. I had a light brahma, when she was around eight weeks she had one very curled tail feather and I was sure she was a cockerel, but she turned out to be a pullet

Ahhhh....I see what you mean about that slightly curly tail! I myself might have have been tempted to think she was a cockerel, to be honest.
