I am really excited. After three and a half full days, I candled my twenty eggs. I know, most people wait until day 7 or ten or twelve, but I like to see if I can at least see a yolk if not the embryo at day 3. So many of my eggs have been scrambled in the past. My last batch had all but one scrambled at day three. Really sad. Anyway, after candling the eggs today, ALL the bbs orp eggs (from MissPrissy) had an embryo/veining! All 12! All the bc marans (8) had intact yolks, but due to the darker shell, I couldn't tell yet if they were veining. I will have to wait to see that next week. But anyway, this batch is off to an AMAZING start!!!

I am really gonna have to get busting to get that new coop finished! WEEEEEE!

Thank you, Cynthia! I guess it is not a big deal to most, but after my previous hatches, I am really excited!

Lost three eggs today, two bbs and one marans. They just quit around day 4/5 looks like. All the rest look great, even the cracked one, go figure!

Candled today and all 17 eggs look healthy with strong veining and movement in many. I can see veining in the bc eggs too! Keeping my fingers crossed that they will all hatch early next week!
