We are selling our turkey quota (BC only). It equates to roughly 2,000 birds per year. It is commercial quota which means you can self-market the birds to grocery stores, meat stores, have a farm store or other farm gate method, etc. for top dollar OR go through the processing plant and get their set rates. The quota is 17,500 kg/yr. (about 2000 birds) Asking $15/kg For more info email [email protected]
We live on Vancouver Island and have been raising our turkeys as 'free range' and we self -market them. There is a high demand for them and a good dollar to be made. We sell ours for $4.00/lb
The quota will be available for transfer next year May 2, 2019. Lots of time to plan and get your farm approved by the marketing board.
